The commercial invoice; the pro forma invoice Assignment
The commercial invoice the pro forma invoice - Assignment ExampleQuestion 2 The amount of risk that a lineage will keep back will depend on whether the business is the im demeanorer or the exporter, as well as the sectionalizationicular incoterms that are involved on a particular transaction. For instance, if the business is an importer, the business will become the least risk if the incoterm being used is CIF, because this will have the least risk (William, 2009). This is because the seller (exporter) will have to plight care of the goods on their way not only to the destination port but all the way to the inland destination of the buyer. This includes buying the insurance for the goods as they are on transit. As a result, this means two important things to the buyer, who is the importer. First, is that there is no risk of the goods on transit that the importer will have to stockpile incase the risk materializes. Second is that even if the risk was to materialize, the importer would be protected because the insurance will pay off the losses. The importance of Cost, Insurance and Freight (named port of destination) is that incase the goods are lost or damaged and the seller was not in a position to compensate the buyer, the buyer doesnt have to incur the loss because the insurance will pay for the goods. ... The fact that the process by which the US government uses to create money and value for the same money is ill-timed and needs to be changed is not debatable. However, as Maxwell (2009) says, it can only be hoped that the new technology that is eliminating the issuance of printed money will solve part of this business. However, this is a problem that will need to be solved and a better mechanism be put in place to avoid the problem that fiat currency is causing. This as McGregory (2009) says, is going to be one of the main things that will have to be solved in the twenty-first millennium for the earthly concern economy to succeed. Question 4 Part i FOB Free on Board to a named port of shipment This incoterm makes sure that the risk of the goods is divided between the two sides of the deal. The buyer assumes the risk after the goods have been loaded for shipping, while the seller assumes the risk of the goods only until the goods have been loaded for shipping. Part ii CIF Cost, Insurance and Freight to a named port of destination This incoterm puts all obligation, both transport and insurance of the goods in transit to the seller and makes sure that the buyer is fully protected from any risk or obligation. Part iii CIF Cost, Insurance and Freight to a named port of destination Same as above, the exporter assumes all risks and be for shipping the goods. Part IV EXW Ex Works to a named place of delivery. This incoterm minimizes the obligation of the exporter so that the exporter only has insurance and freight costs only up to the point where the goods are loaded at the port of export. The buyer has to know how to get the g oods from the sellers premises and decide on whether they want to

Michael Baxandalls painting and experience in 15th century Italy - Essay ExampleThe essay Michael Baxandalls painting and experience in 15th century Italy discovers the Painting and Experience in Fifteenth Century Italy By Michael Baxandall. The details of color were often specified, since the ingredients of some colors, like silver, silver, and blasphemous, were either expensive or available in different qualities. Though the importance of gold diminished as the 15th century wore on, partly as a result of a general cultural movement away from ostentatious displays of riches as well as a general shortage of gold and the Christian asceticism that was beginning to make its influence felt. However, as the use of blue and gold faded, something had to replace the gilding traditionally found behind the figures in the foreground. Thus, landscapes, angels, and o ther things were employed to fill the space, and the skill of the artist became much conspicuous and more important, as did the distinction between rates for the work of the master artist as opposed to his apprentices. Is Britain taking the right approach to Prostitution Essay
Is Britain taking the right approach to harlotry - Essay ExampleProstitution is one of the last bulwarks of this way of thinking. In the course of this essay, prostitution in the UK willing be examined and it will be argued that it should be legalized. Prostitution in the UK is a dangerous business. Female prostitutes argon more likely to be assaulted and murdered and to have shorter lives (Castillo, 126). Prostitutes are often the victims of serial killers as we can see from the Ipswich murders in recent years. We need to find a way to regulate in order to keep stimulate workers safe. The truth is that under the current law, sex workers are at risk. They must conduct their business under cover of night and have little time to communicate with potential johns due to law prohibiting communication. As such, they are placed at higher risk. Indeed, the very fact that prostitution is not in itself illegal, is an indication of how society thinks it should be dealt with by police. Inste ad, the various subsidiary crimes such as living off the avails of prostitution and communicating for the purposes of prostitution are illegal. This is hypocritical and endangers the lives of sex workers. For this reason, these laws should be struck down. They threaten the human rights of UK sex workers. It is easy to imagine scenarios where the current laws have been responsible for higher crime rates (Phoenix, 52). Take for instance an example of a lonely man who yearns for versed interaction or intercourse and cannot find a woman who is easily willing to fulfil his sexual needs. It is possible his behaviour may gratuity him to blow or other illegal behaviour. This need not be the case if prostitution is effectively legalized. Or suppose a married man has a high sex drive then his wife and sometimes his wife is not always available to meet his sexual desires, his behaviour may lead him to abuse her. This too can be avoided if there is a legal outlet. Once prostitution is regul ated, sex workers will have more health checks and will be safer. We should come with the lead of our European neighbours and regulate prostitution (and take the tax revenue from it) rather than continue to criminalize it and force it into the darkest corners of society, where sex workers are most at risk. The very idea that prostitution is effectively illegal stands in the face of political freedom. The truth, in my opinion, is that the freest society is the best one. The government creates practically of laws in order to prevent people from making the most of their lives. Of course, some laws are necessary, such as murder is wrong, but many other laws military service no purpose in the end they just create a nanny state. Libertarianism stands against needless laws and in favour of freedom. The government should play only the smallest voice in our lives and should not tell us who we can and cannot sleep with. Libertarianism is a political philosophy that idealizes personal free dom and non-judgement (Nozick 32). More than ever before, people in the UK living in a Nanny State. A Nanny State is one that uses excessive state attends, for example, lots of unnecessary laws, to restrict its citizens freedom. It believes that it knows best and that citizens should follow its morality. Of course, there is a general feeling that certain things are wrong and should be discouraged or criminalized, but for proponents of the Nanny State, the government should seize control of actions and issues where there is no consensus and unilaterally impose its view of morality on these issues. Nonfiction Text and the Use of Graphic Organizers Essay
Nonfiction Text and the Use of Graphic Organizers - Essay ExampleOne strategy for developing these skills in students is through the use of graphic organizers.Graphic organizers be communication devices used to show the structure or organization of concepts and the relationships between them (Ellis). They be visual tools that use visual symbols to denote ideas and concepts to convey meaning. They depict the relationships between facts, terms, and/or ideas. They are often referred to as a occasion because they help teachers and students map out ideas in a visual manner (Saskatoon). According to Ellis, the visual spatial arrangements which represent the informations structure reduce the cognitive demands on the learner. The learner choose not process a lot of semantic information to understand the information. Graphic organizers are very powerful devices for students with terminology-based learning disabilities (Ellis). They are of course withal useful, if not more so, for regul ar students who do not have learning disabilities.Being a visual tool, a graphic organizer allows the mind to agnise patterns and relationships in the information presented. One of the most common graphic organizers is the calendar. It is a descriptive matrix. At a glance it shows what month it is, the number of days in the month, what day of the week a certain date falls on, which dates fall on a take upicular day, and so on. The calendar helps the user gather, sift, sort and partake information (Graphic.org1).Usefulness of Graphic OrganizersAs instructional tools, graphic organizers are very valuable because they are flexible and endless in application. They show the magnitude and completeness of a students thought process. They can immediately indicate strengths and weaknesses of understanding. They show different aspects of an issue or problem, whether it be the big picture or a part of it up close (Kipperman & McIntry). Graphic organizers are applicable across a wide range of curriculum subject areas such as reading, science, social studies, language arts, and mathematics (Saskatoon). However the effectiveness of graphic organizers lies in the ability of teachers teaching students how to use them efficiently. Especially in the area of non-fiction text, graphic organizers foster learning in reading, comprehension and vocabulary knowledge. The learner does not merely read a bunch of words but learns to understand the brilliance or lack of importance of these words, understanding the concept behind what is being read, determine a main idea and process relational information from there (Graphic.org2).Ellis identifies three compelling reasons for employ graphic organizers. First, students will more likely understand and remember the subject content they are being taught. A graphic organizer highlights what is/are important, and separates these from those that are interesting but not essential. In other words, information tends to be more precise. Second, graphic organizers allow the teacher to expound on the content at more complex levels because the burden of semantic processing is greatly reduced. Showing instead of just telling students the information facilitates understanding. Third, students more likely become strategic learners with the use of graphic organizers, thereby improving reading and writing skills, communication skills, and analytical, critical, and creative
